The winery Stefania Mezzetti is not only wine, but an opportunity to have a unique and relaxing experience between Umbria and Tuscany.
We have 2 facilities on the border between the two regions that offer a wide range of services to meet all your needs: tasting, cookery classes, events, weddings or overnight stays.
Villa Fontanicchio and Casa Colonica are all located near lake Trasimene. They are typical warm and welcoming Umbria mansions, with terracotta floor tiles and wooden beamed ceiling.
The Tuscan landscape is the ideal location for the “big day”: our villas, with their large gardens, are perfect for your wedding! At Stefania Mezzetti we have the right partners that will help us to organize your event in the smallest details, from the catering to the photographer, to flowers and the ceremony itself.
If you are not planning for any special event in the near future, but you want to have a taste of Tuscany anyway, Stefania Mezzetti gives you the opportunity of taking part to one of our cookery classes. During these classes, you will learn how to cook typical traditional Tuscan dishes and much more. There is a limit of 8 people per class, and you are going to learn the whole process, from choosing the ingredients to tasting the final meal. Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience by cooking in our natural stone kitchens and sitting in the large and peculiar living room nearby.

Villa Fontanicchio
If you are looking for a luxury house, Villa Fontanicchio should be your choice. This 400 sqm villa is immersed in the green, within walking distance from Lake Trasimene. There are 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and it can accommodate up to 14 guests, who will enjoy the beautiful landscape overlooking vineyards and olive groves.
This villa has been recently renovated, but its original features and architecture have been preserved. The swimming pool is located right next to the porch, where you can also relax on one of the armchairs and sofas there.
La Casa Colonica
La Casa Colonica is Stefania Mezzetti’s largest facility and is a typical Umbria country house from 1800’s. It is located in Vernazzano, in a land that boasts a long historical and cultural tradition. This is the area where archaeologists are still excavating the remains of the Battle of Trasimene, fought by Hannibal in 217 BC.
Casa Colonica extends over 4.000 sqm and includes a country house, a guesthouse, two swimming pools, an animal farm and a vegetable patch.
The 9 apartments and the cottage, with every comfort taken care of, will give you an unforgettable holiday experience in the heart of Italy, in a warming and welcoming family environment. Every apartment gives you the opportunity to enjoy a private green area outside, and you can also avail of exclusive offers like horse riding excursions, or single/couple Californian, Ayurvedic or Reiki massages.
